Former US Official To Launch Networking “Platform” In Geneva

Alicia Greenidge, until recently director general of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA), plans to launch a new platform in Geneva to “build relationships between developing countries, governments, organisations and industries,” according to a press release from IFPMA[pdf]. No other details about the new project appear to be available, and Greenidge did not respond to a request for comment. Greenidge, a former negotiator for the United States, stepped down from her post at IFPMA suddenly in May, as reported here: IPW, Public Health, 1 May 2009. The IFPMA release provides an extensive resume of Greenidge’s activities and accomplishments during her year at the helm of the industry group, such as her open policy of bringing in developing country officials for meetings.
