The USPTO’s Office of Policy and International Affairs, in partnership with the International Trade Administration, has posted a job announcement for an Intellectual Property (IP) Attaché located in the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India. This high profile diplomatic position requires knowledge of all fields of IP.

The job announcement is open through Friday, May 4.

From the job description:

This position is located in the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi-India. The incumbent will serve as a Commercial Officer (Intellectual Property) in New Delhi for the International Trade Administration/Global Markets (ITA/GM) and United States Patent and Trademark office. The position requires knowledge of all fields of IP and international agreements governing IP rights, including IP office operation and administration, IP training, and adherence to IP standards of protection and enforcement. As a Commercial Offier (IP), the incumbent will act as a resource on South Asian intellectual property regime for other U.S. Government agencies. This position reports to the Senior Commercial Officer and the IP Attaché Program Director, and must also coordinate with other parts of the U.S. Embassy.
