Call for Applications: African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative
Are you a woman entrepreneur seeking to advance your leadership, strategy, and business management skills? Are you interested in connecting with other women business owners from across the continent and being coached by a mentor?
At midnight GMT on 31 January 2018, the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) began accepting applications on its website, www.thecge.net/awec, for a one-of-a-kind, 12-month business training program. Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm GMT on 14 February 2018.
Conducted both online and in-person, AWEC empowers women entrepreneurs with opportunities to:
- Learn from world-class business and academic experts
- Cultivate a peer network across Africa and its diaspora
- Engage with course activities that encourage individuals to immediately apply new knowledge and collaborate with diverse teams
- Connect with a senior business mentor
- Participate in two in-person Leadership Summits taking place in Rwanda and one other location in Africa
Women entrepreneurs and business owners from across Africa and its diaspora who lead startup and growth stage companies are encouraged to apply. Aspiring entrepreneurs with business experience, an idea for a venture, and a passion for entrepreneurship are also eligible for the program.
