A large (440-page) new report on media piracy in emerging economies is stirring significant debate in internet copyright and open access circles, as it purports to turn rights owner assertions and the basis for developed country IP policy on their heads.
The report from the Social Science Research Council is available here (note the appropriately complex download pricing model depending on economic size and rights adherence).
News source Techdirt hosts a debate on the report here.
The report was first introduced at a World Intellectual Property Organization event last year.
