Touré Re-Elected Head of ITU

Member states of the UN International Telecommunication Union (ITU) today re-elected Hamadoun Touré of Mali as ITU Secretary-General of ITU for a second four-year term.

Member states of the UN International Telecommunication Union (ITU) today re-elected Hamadoun Touré of Mali as ITU Secretary-General of ITU for a second four-year term. Touré ran unopposed. Also re-elected unopposed was Deputy Secretary-General Houlin Zhao of China. The ITU four-year plenipotentiary is taking place in Guadalajara, Mexico. ITU press release here.
